I don't know about you guys, but I am dragging!
I also know that I haven't written a substantial blog in awhile, and I promise to do better.
Just not today.
I'll show you all what's going on.
First off, our cherry tree is awesome!! And it bloomed just in time for the rain tomorrow and Friday, so we are trying to look at it as much as we can.
This is where Billy J. Purray has been spending a lot of his time.
The plant doesn't seem to mind...
He'd be sleeping, if it wasn't for the paparazzi... |
Some call it observing...some call it stalking.... |
Scottie Jane doesn't realize that 1) she isn't a basset hound and 2) she doesn't take up as much room as Ellie
Pay no attention to the cool bunch of dolls that we got at an estate sale - all of them for 5 bucks!! You'll hear more about them later.... |
I know that I posted this on Facebook, but I have to share this again.
Grey and Neve captured Scottie Jane - she is slowly realizing that she is indeed a cat and really doesn't have to put up with this nonsense - and they settled down in the big chair. What's going on? I asked. And they answered -
"Dogs are evil and so are cats except for Scottie Jane. We'll be safe here."
Ahhh, babies and a kitten.... |
I made the mistake of saying "smile". Little cheesers.. |
Here's a more natural look. |
One of my favorites...
Enjoy!!
The Circle Game
Yesterday a child came out to wonder
Caught a dragonfly inside a jar
Fearful when the sky was full of thunder
And tearful at the falling of a star
Then the child moved ten times round the seasons
Skated over ten clear frozen streams
Words like when you're older must appease him
And promises of someday make his dreams
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only look
Behind from where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game *
Sixteen springs and sixteen summers gone now
Cartwheels turn to car wheels thru the town
And they tell him take your time it won't be long now
Till you drag your feet to slow the circles down
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only look
Behind from where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game
So the years spin by and now the boy is twenty
Though his dreams have lost some grandeur coming true
There'll be new dreams maybe better dreams and plenty
Before the last revolving year is through
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only look
Behind from where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game.
OK, just one more picture of our cherry blossoms!!!
I must resurrect my git-tar & start a bit of strumming, so I's can sing along with y'all, eh uh.
